There are photographers who want to make a living from the work.
There are craftspeople that want to make a living by selling goods on Etsy.
There are excellent graphic designers that want to open up their own shop and work with clients they love.
How do you get to that point?
It starts with understanding how to make a small living. Before you can sell 100 paintings you have to be able to sell one.
Before you can make $100,000 a year from art, you have to be able to make $1,000.
People tend to jump to the end of the story. They fantasize about being famous, going on vacations, selling their art to thousands.
Caught up in all that fantasy they never do the boring, hard, work of building a platform and trying to sell a few things to a few people. That experience will teach you so much. It may take a while to figure out what works and what doesn't work for your audience.
But if you never start, you never learn.
Start.
