When you're able to create marketing that tells the world about your purpose and values you receive a pretty cool benefit.
Your marketing can extend further then your art.
Here's what I mean:
Even if you have never purchased a product from Apple, you know a lot about the company.
You know plenty about the Susan G. Komen Foundation, even if you have never given them a dollar.
No matter how hard you try, there will always be FAR MORE people who don't participate with you art then those that do participate.
But even those who don't participate can still know who you are. They can still know your artistic purpose and values. They can still know what you believe.
You can still have an effect on people.
Great marketing extends your reach.
