I'm writing this from a lounge surrounded by a ton of talent artists at the Theatre Communication Group Conference.
One of them shared something profoundly useful with me.
He said he likes to spend this time at events like these making sure that his decision to spend a life in the arts is a conscious one and not an automatic one.
Think about it. Many of us committed to a life in the arts at a young age. I did it at 17.
Life has changed a lot for us since then.
Yes you are still in the arts.
Have you thought about why?
Have your feelings changed?
Has your agenda changed?
It's something worth thinking about.
Recommit to the arts.
Or maybe . . . actively choose a new path.
But definitely give it some thought.
