Simon tagged me and thus I must share the 3 things I learned the hard way.
1. Every dream has opposition. The bigger the dream. The bigger the opposition - It doesn't matter how positive, beneficial or helpful the dream is there will also be people determined to stop it from happening. Don't try to understand the opposition, just make sure it doesn't stop you.
2. You aren't as smart as you think. There is always more to learn - Just last week I almost made a big mistake on a planned media buy for my theatre. If I hadn't been persuaded by my boss and colleague to talk to someone much more experienced in media purchasing then I was . . . then I would have cost my company some money.
3. Small decisions count. All my good outcomes are in life, work, love whatever are based on a series of small, seemingly unimportant decisions.
All my bad outcomes come the same way. One little bad decision, then another, then another, then I'm in a mess.
No blog for Monday and Tuesday because I'll be in Washington D.C. for Arts Advocacy Day. I'll be back Wednesday with full coverage of the event.
